Library 422

A free Bible study library that runs entirely on your device.

Open the app

Works in any modern browser. The first visit downloads about 15 MB (the World English Bible, Young's Literal Translation, cross-references and Strong's); add any other Bible, the tagged Greek and Hebrew, each lexicon and each Library work whenever you want it. Everything works offline afterwards, and you can add it to your home screen or desktop like an app.

A five-minute guide to the app, then the eighteen Bible texts and the fifty-nine works of the Library, each with a link that opens it directly in the app. Any passage can be shared as a link too, such as app.library422.org/read/john/3/16.

Free, and nothing leaves your device

Every text and dataset in Library 422 is public domain or openly licensed, and the full list with its licences is in the app under Settings. There is no account, no tracking, and no server behind the app: your reading, notes and searches stay on your device.

The same app with every text and the whole Library included, for use with no internet at all — copy it to a flash drive and it runs from there.

All releases, with notes: github.com/JacobSlattery/library422/releases. The code is open at github.com/JacobSlattery/library422.
