Library 422
A free Bible study library that runs entirely on your device.
Open the appWorks in any modern browser. The first visit downloads about 15 MB (the World English Bible, Young's Literal Translation, cross-references and Strong's); add any other Bible, the tagged Greek and Hebrew, each lexicon and each Library work whenever you want it. Everything works offline afterwards, and you can add it to your home screen or desktop like an app.
What is inside
- Eighteen Bible texts read side by side: King James, World English Bible, Berean Standard Bible, ASV, Young's Literal, Tyndale, Douay-Rheims, the Septuagint in Greek and English, the Hebrew Westminster Leningrad Codex and Aleppo Codex, the Greek New Testament in several editions, the Vulgate and the Peshitta.
- Every Greek and Hebrew word tagged: tap it for the lexicon entry, plain-English parsing, and a full concordance. Full Brown-Driver-Briggs, Liddell-Scott and Abbott-Smith lexicons; an English dictionary for the English texts.
- Cross-references, people, places and events with a map and timeline.
- A library of fifty-nine works: the Ante-Nicene, Nicene and Post-Nicene Fathers, Josephus, Philo, Aquinas, and intertestamental texts such as Enoch and Jubilees, linked to the verses they discuss.
- Highlights, bookmarks and notes, kept on your device.

A five-minute guide to the app, then the eighteen Bible texts and the fifty-nine works of the Library, each with a link that opens it directly in the app. Any passage can be shared as a link too, such as app.library422.org/read/john/3/16.
Free, and nothing leaves your device
Every text and dataset in Library 422 is public domain or openly licensed, and the full list with its licences is in the app under Settings. There is no account, no tracking, and no server behind the app: your reading, notes and searches stay on your device.
